I am an Occupational Therapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) from the University of Newcastle. I have over five years of experience working across community health, residential and community aged care, and the NDIS sector, supporting adult participants (18+) with complex physical, cognitive, and psychosocial disabilities. My clinical practice focuses on functional capacity assessments, home and living assessments, and environmental modifications to support individuals to live as independently and safely as possible in their homes and communities. I have extensive experience developing evidence-based recommendations for assistive technology, environmental adaptations, and home modifications that improve functional independence and quality of life.
I have worked with individuals living with neurological, psychosocial, and developmental conditions, including traumatic brain injury, schizophrenia, Autism Spectrum Disorder and intellectual disability. My work often involves capacity building to support independence in daily living tasks, community participation, and functional routines.
In addition to clinical assessment and intervention, I have experience delivering manual handling training and education to carers and nurses, promoting safe practices and improving the quality of support provided to participants.
I am passionate about person-centred practice and collaborative goal setting, working closely with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, meaningful strategies that enhance independence and participation in everyday life.
(I am also currently undertaking additional professional development in home modifications and, upon completion, will be formally certified as a Home Modifications Assessor.).
