The Theme & Content of your Artwork

The theme of this year’s exhibition is:
Let's Talk About It.

We encourage you to think positively about your participation. This is an opportunity for you to make constructive contributions and share your experiences of mental illness and recovery to help improve awareness and help-seeking behaviours that support recovery.

Your artwork is an opportunity to tell your story of hope, recovery, and growth through art.

Guidelines for Entering your Artwork

The following guidelines apply for entering artworks:

  • Artworks must be under 100 cm in width.

  • Artworks that are too delicate, loose and fragile will not be accepted.

  • All hanging artworks must be ready to hang with D-rings firmly secured 10cm from the top of the artwork. This includes stretched canvases and works on board. It will not be possible to display works that are not suitably finished or ready to hang.

  • Stretched canvas does not need to be framed but does need to have D-rings secured.

  • Works on paper (e.g. watercolour, pastel, graphite) must be framed and ready to hang.

Excluded Artworks

  • CCPC want to acknowledge the individual journey and expression of those who have been impacted by mental health issues and have to be mindful that the artworks displayed contribute to a safe space for the viewer.

  • We will not display any image or Artwork that we feel could be distressing, triggering, offensive or derogatory to others. This includes images of self-harm, suicide, violence, abuse, profane language (swearing) or offensive terms (e.g. racial slurs).

  • Images must be your own.

  • Images must not contain other people unless you have a record of their consent to being included.

Artworks On Display

With the increasing number of entrants and limited space, we may be unable to display all artworks. Every effort will be made to exhibit all suitably finished artworks. Please ensure you comply with the above guidelines. If your artwork is not delivered within the specified timeframe, it will not be accepted for the exhibition.

Selling & Purchasing of Artwork

Coast & Country Primary Care will not be responsible for the selling and purchasing of Artwork. If artists wish to put a sale price and one contact method next to their artwork, it is up to the artist and interested parties to coordinate the sale and any monetary transactions.
