The Rotary Club of Gosford City recently held their community recognition awards night. Staff from the Erina Respiratory clinic were nominated for their commitment and work over and above the norm during the pandemic.
The often-unsung heroes are the support staff, and we wish to acknowledge the work of our Administration Officer, Sharni Simpson, who has supported the nursing and medical staff daily to keep the doors open, and always with a smile on her face. She has also always been prepared to work additional shifts and provide coverage to other parts of the business which experienced staffing stress due to covid. Sharni is also expecting her first child any day now!
We also wish to nominate Dr Tamara Doughton, an amazing GP from practices in both Terrigal and Avoca, who also worked above and beyond when shifts were being impacted by covid staffing shortages, dealing with the ever-changing face of the pandemic, and supporting CCPC to deliver this critical service during unprecedented times.
Finally, we wish to nominate Melanie Martin, Registered Nurse, and Registered Midwife, who led our team of nurses testing and vaccinating for the last 2 years in extraordinary challenging times. Melanie always goes above and beyond every shift showing incredible leadership and resilience.
