Mental Health and Wellbeing for Aged Care Residents

Service Locations: Central Coast

What is Mental Health and Wellbeing for Residents of Aged Care Facilities?

We offer a variety of services to residents, their families, and Carers, including:

  • Clinical Mental Health Services for Residents with experienced Psychologists, Social Workers, or Mental Health Nurses offering visits to the facility.
  • Group Counselling for residents, their families, or carers that have newly transitioned to an Aged Care Facility
  • Digital Story Services, provided by volunteers who visit residents over a few months to develop a video about their life. This is based on the understanding that the telling of one’s story is a means to reaffirm identity, uniqueness, and lived experiences.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Services can help with the emotional transition into a facility, as well as with feelings of sadness, worry, and distress.
