About Cervical Screening

Cervical cancer is preventable with regular cervical screening. The Cervical Screening Test detects human papillomavirus (also known as HPV).

Ensuring that you have this screening when it is due ensures that your healthcare provider can monitor the infection if it is detected and intervene if there are any changes to cells in your cervix.
