COVID-19 Response

The following information provides updates and changes to NDIS service delivery.

 

NDIS Support Coordination

Face to face meetings are limited and only conducted where necessary, with supports also being provided remotely via phone and zoom calls where appropriate. 

 

NDIS Plan Management

Plan Management services will continue to be conducted remotely, with any face to face meetings postponed until further notice.

 

NDIS Home and Community Support

The following measures are being implemented at this time:

  • All participants and household members present are required to wear a mask while support is being provided.
  • Support provided in the community will be for essential reasons and exercise only, as per Public Health Orders.
  • Supports delivered in aged care facilities, supported accommodation and hospitals are on hold until further notice.
  • Social group activities have been put on hold until further notice.
  • If you are being transported by staff you will be asked to sit in the backseat.
  • If you are using public transport with your support worker, current Department of Health guidelines require face coverings to be worn.
  • If you need support please call your Coordinator of Supports or Project Officer.
  • Ask your Support Worker to help connect you on social media and other apps that may interest you.
  • Support Workers cannot go shopping for you, the support is there to assist you in the community.
  • All staff have completed the department of Health COVID 19 training.

If you wish to make a last-minute change to pre-booked support, please call your Coordinator of Supports or Project Officer on 4365 2294 or for after-hours  the On-Call number 0466 919 301.

All staff are following recommendations from the Department of Health regarding good hygiene practices to minimise the spread and impact of the virus including:

  • Wear a mask.
  • Cleaning their hands regularly with soap and water.
  • Using hand sanitizer when soap and water is not available.
  • Using sanitizer wipes in the car prior to and following supports
  • Avoiding physical contact, such as shaking hands.
  • Use gloves in assistance with any personal care, assisted eating etc.
  • Avoiding close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms.

If you have face to face supports scheduled, a member of our team will either call ahead to ask the following questions or ask on arrival:

  1. Do you or anyone else in the house have cold or flu symptoms, such as coughing, fever, runny nose or sore throat?
  2. Have you been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19?
  3. Have you been in an identified Case Location at the date and time specified by NSW Health and/or been identified as a casual contact?

If the answer is yes to any of the above questions, no face to face contact is to occur until your symptoms have resolved and/or a negative covid test has been confirmed. We will work to implement other supports where possible.

 

NDIS Social Activities

Social activities are on hold until further notice.

 

NDIS Therapeutic Supports

Therapeutic supports are being conducted with each therapist following Department of Health guidelines. Any changes to therapeutic supports will be communicated directly to each participant.

 

 NDIS Application Support
